From this group, I learned something about people who valued me and who don't

The story begins with the decision from my parent to move from Kupang to Jakarta so I and my sister could get a better life. We came as a family to Jakarta, and I didn't know that I would get a second family there. Like any other move scenario, I and my sister got into this school named Stella Maris in BSD. Fun fact, Stella Maris was the only school that wants to accept us because the academic year already started.
I came to Stella Maris Junior High School as someone that had no idea about Tangerang Selatan and It is different from Kupang. I met many people there, but it is really hard to blend in. Lucky me, on my first day there, I met Alvin and Nigel. Later on, I met other people name Jonathan, and Christ ( He is also a transferred student from Padang.) The last member from the group name Nathaniel. So, here they are. Alvin, Christ, Dana (me), Jonathan, Nigel, and Nathan
We are not the most lovely person on earth. We are also not the most important people on the earth. But, in this group, we are important enough and we love each other
I spent all my life in Junior High School until I graduated from Padjadjaran University with this group. We still want to explore many opportunities, we still want to travel, and we still want to spend time together. Our journey far from over.
For someone who still needs to learn about something, I didn't know that this group was the perfect example for someone who valued me. The perfect example for someone I could call them "best friends". Today, I learned that it is so hard to find people who support you or who value you. The big question was, how do I know they are real "friends" for me? The answer came from Dr. Jordan B Peterson, a Canadian professor of psychology at the University of Toronto. From His perspective, we could use these two only reason to tell if someone was our "real friends"
1. When I was Happy,
The group celebrates it with me. It is an unspoken rule that if one of us got something that worth celebrating, we must tell and then we celebrate it. The group always makes me happier even when I already felt happiness inside me. The group never tried to turn down something from someone, even it is just a silly thing to celebrate.
2. When I was Sad,
The group came to support me. Instead of judging me for what I have been done wrong, we worked together to find the best solutions for the problem. I always knew where I could find them anytime, anywhere.
